DanceConnect commission: who pays what?

The commission amount

The commission is made up of a percentage of the amount paid and a fixed part, per transaction. Its exact amount is shown in your studio space when you enable ticketing, before you accept anything, then shown again when you put a class or an event on sale.

No commission is charged on a free booking.

For a class

The commission is paid by the studio. The dancer pays the class price shown, and the commission is deducted from what you receive. It never exceeds the class price.

For an event, an intensive or a workshop

The commission is added to the price paid by the attendee, who sees it at checkout. You receive the ticket price you set.

In case of a refund

• Class: if you cancel a session, the paid spots are fully refunded to the students, commission included: you pay no commission on those spots. If a student cancels at least 24 hours in advance, the value of their spot is returned to them as credit with your studio (or as credit on their plan), without a refund to their card.
• Event: an attendee can cancel up to 48 hours before the start, without a refund. When a ticket is refunded, only its price is returned: the booking fees, which the attendee knew were non-refundable before paying, are not given back.

What you receive

Payments are collected by Stripe and paid out to the bank account you entered when enabling ticketing, after the commission. On the Dashboard of your studio space, the Revenue this month tile shows your net revenue, after commissions.
